What type of coach are you
I am more of an encouraging and observant coach. I like to watch the kids and tell them what I see, both what they are doing really well, as well as what they can work to improve on, and then communicate this in a constructive and positive way. Also, as we all know, it is very easy to get mad at ourselves when playing or practicing. I like to encourage kids through these tough points and help them understand it is part of the process, and one cannot get frustrated with themselves, but rather learn from mistakes.
Favorite Goalie Growing up
Carey Price
Best Game Ever Played
Made 51 saves in a 5-1 win against the Amarillo Bulls in 2013. Was fun to make that many saves against the best team in our league and beat them.
Most Important Lessons
If you work hard, it will pay off.
Why is being a goalie so hard
The goaltending position is the most unique position in sports. Not only is there an intense amount of pressure on you because you can make or break a game, but it is the only position in sports where if you make a mistake, you have no time to think about it and “get over it”. A quarterback gets to go sit down on the sidelines and reset after throwing an interception. A pitcher has time between each pitch to reset. When a goalie makes a mistake and gets scored on, we are still in the middle of the battle.

Fav Type of Save
Glove Save, because play stops and everyone gets to appreciate how good a save it was.
