For Goalies Currently Playing:
– 3:1 Student to Instructor Ratio! (MAX 18 goalies)
– Goalie specific off ice workouts daily
– All Instructors are current or former goalies who have passion for the position and love teaching
– 2 hours on-ice instruction daily

Standard YOUNGER camp is your first big dive into personalized intensive goalie instruction. This five day camp consists of two hours of on ice instruction, dryland training, and group video analysis.
Our on ice portion progresses in difficulty and builds on technique throughout the week. At MGS, we believe in starting with the basics and structuring a goalie’s stance and crease movement before implementing more difficult situations. Each goalie will learn to develop their stance, movement, puck tracking, proper save selection, in tight movement, sliding, and rush development on breakaways.
Our dryland is goalie specific, meaning the exercises are tailored towards utilizing key muscle groups that goalies need to be quick and flexible in the net. Dryland includes a dynamic stretch to engage and activate the major muscle groups, agility and speed training to promote footwork, hip strengthening exercises to introduce the importance of “prehab” (preventative exercises to reduce future injuries), and goalie specific drills to work on hand eye coordination for puck tracking.
Our week is capped off with a staple of MGS; Competition Day. On friday, goalies will compete against one another using the skills they acquired throughout the week. Every goalie gets a chance to shine in our “showdown competition!” This is not only fun for the goalies, but an exhibition to showcase all the hard work these goalies worked for throughout the week. Our Standard Camp is the best next step for goalies ready to take their sport to a whole new level!
