Goalie Camps For All Skills and Ages
At Midwest Goalie Academy, our priority is delivering top notch coaching via goalie-specific drills focused. Focusing on maximizing the number of reps each goalie gets, we structure each camp to offer the lowest ratio possible for goalies per net- 2:1. Not only does this provide the best learning environment, it places a strong emphasis on limiting goalie to goalie exposure in ordinance with COVID-19 protocol. Instead of having the entire group of goalies, coaches, and shooters on the ice for two hours, we divide the ice session into two one-hour sessions and have off ice dryland training opposite of the ice time.
We offer a variety of coaching skills from goalies who have extensive playing experience and are passionate about serving as role models for our students. We only use experienced shooters who get paid to be on the ice and take their job seriously, ensuring well timed drills and appropriate challenges to goalies of varying levels.
Our philosophy is to design appropriate drills that both challenge the goalie but also serve a specific purpose of developing certain skills. Our staff works with each goalie to develop the most appropriate method towards success. Each goalie plays a unique style and has individual tendencies; we want to enhance that and bring out the best possible goalie they are capable of becoming.
